There's a sticky on the Texas forum that describes some of the trails and offroad parks that are around the Texas area, as well. http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/texas/9126-texas-trail-links.html

Usually, when an event is a few months out, you'll see the organizers post an announcement thread in the Texas forum, so check in to the forum regularly to get the skinny...

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Join the Toyota Land Cruiser Association and they will mail you a great magazine six times a year with a calendar and a notice of upcoming events all around the country, including two sanctioned events in Texas that happen every year (the Jamboree is one).

TLCA: the Toyota Land Cruiser Association

Locally, you can join the Austin chapter of the Lone Star Land Cruisers TLCA chapter.

Times 2 on joining TLCA. This is the easy way to find acceptance when ever wheeling with other Toyota owners.
