Well with a little help from Mike I am 3.5" higher in the front after installing the coil overs from toytec..

It rides so much better but i do have one more question...I have read to let it settle a few weeks to get it aligned, but my steering wheel is at about a 11 O'Clock driving straight,is this normal after lift until I get it aligned?

I just ask cause not many mention the alignment issue after lift..or is this to be expected?

thanks

Re: One more Q

I wouldnt go a couple weeks, mabey a few days then get a lifetime alignment from somewhere like pep boys or firestone. you will be using it alot. As for the wheel being off, not a big deal. they will get it straight after allignment. If you get the lifetime bring it in after a couple days with these specs.

print this and bring it with you.

FJ Alignment Specs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FJ Cruiser 4X2

FJ Cruiser 4X4

FRONTSpecificationNeg. TolerancePos. ToleranceLeft Camber0.15°0.50°0.50°Right Camber0.15°0.50°0.50°Cross CamberLeft Caster2.82°0.50°0.50°Right Caster2.82°0.50°0.50°Cross CasterTotal Toe0.08°0.17°0.17°Left SAI12.35°0.50°0.50°Right SAI12.35°0.50°0.50°

When you get the alignment done the caster will more than likelly not go back to within specsUnless you installed aftermarket upper control arms. What you want to do is get camber as close to center as possible and have the right front caster be .40-.50* greater than the left side this will insure that the vehicle tracks straight and will have no tire wear issues as long as tires are rotated properlly.

Then about a couple weeks later bring it in again when the springs are really better settled and get it re alligned.
