I will be camping near big bear soon ( here is the location of the campsite from: NF-1N02 @34.157375, -116.784441 - Google Maps ) and was wondering if there were any close by trails? What would be the closets trail?

Any one else camp here before?

Haven't camped there, or been on these particular trails, but I pulled these out of Charles Wells' guide:

Clarks Summit 34.170750, -116.825472‎ (Moderate, 30.1 miles)

Skyline Drive 34.227306, -116.866389 (Easy, 13 miles)

Thanks, the Skyline Drive is only about 30 minutes away from where we will be camping :bigthumb:

However, i cant seem to find the Clarks Summit trail. Google maps wont recognize those coordinates and i cant seem to find it on Dirtopia either.

I'll do some exploration once i get there. Hopefully i can find some closer trails.

Which leads me to my next question...

Where or how is the best way to obtain a map of the trails in big bear? Should i buy a paper map or do they have online maps for sale (or free for that matter).
