I have an 08 2WD with less than 30K miles. Over the last few weeks I have noticed what I think is an unusual behavior in my transmission.

Sometimes after being stopped at a light, when I let my foot off the brake and before I hit the accelerator, I can feel the transmission drop into first. Sometimes it is very noticeable and seems to drop down pretty hard ( I can feel it). Other times I don't notice it at.

I live in Texas and we have had an unusually cold winter so far and I am not sure but I think it seems to do it more when it is cold out. Have not noticed it long enough to be sure.

Anyone else have this going on? Is this common and I just never noticed it before?

Thanks

X2, check out the link. It's not the tranny and it's normal. Greasing your slip yokes every 5k or less (as per in the owner's manual) will help to some degree.

Get your transmission flush done at the dealer, if you're over 40K miles, that eliminated my issues.
