Recovering the from the shudder is more of a drain, fill, drive 400-1000 miles do it again. I’m on my 3rd fill.
It's actually the torque converter, which is often reduced or fixed by changing out the transmission fluid. There is debate whether to do it slowly via 4-5 drain and fill cycles (when you drain, only about 1/4th) of the fluid comes out, or going all in and having Toyota or another shop flush the entire system all at once.I have a 2007 with a rear shudder. Is that transmission? Someone stated that was common with the 07's. Do newer models fit as replacements? Any ideas are appreciated.
