Nice budget solution and keeps it out of sight. my only concern would be leaking, in my experience the metal cans leak sooner or later.

Also worth considering, if they are still available, Hutchinson sold fume suppressant mesh 'balls' that make little impact on volume but do stop the fumes and 'gasing'.

Any more info on these balls? Tried Google.
