This may sound weird but we are always doing something like 4x4, washing , a good coat of wax picture, a new sticker, wheels, lift, super charger or just an oil change the point is what you did today to or with the FJ cruiser.
This is my favorite thread on the jeep forum and probably the most popular in their entire forum with over two million posts, So why not here? I'll start it off and its up to all of us to keep it going.

1. Today I added a headliner supercharger sticker to my windshield after giving her a bath.

Over the last week I've been busy working on and off on our FJ. Installed a new Sony head unit, back up cam, both front axles, changed front diff fluid, replaced front brakes, drained old coolant and replaced with Evan's waterless, cleaned my air filter, installed an under the hood lamp with pressure switch, installed HID headlights, and replaced the power steering fluid...it's been fun as the vehicle is relatively new to me. I definitely have become acquainted with her.

Are you certain it's waterless? Everything I've found from Toyota shows it's a glycol water mix.
I switched to Evan's to reduce any corrosion over time from the water.
Installed the icon 2.0 rears with the heavy/overland spring

Installed the warrior platform roof rack, removed the plastic fenders trimming them to match the other molding, installed new splash guards from rad rubber, and installed a used, new to me, OEM sub

Super jealous of the warrior product roof rack, I've had my eye on one for a while. Looks great, hopefully you will keep us updated on what you think bout it. Cheers
Will do. So far I like it. Not much wind noise and definitely stronger than OEM
Got this ventlock. Rattled a lot so added a rubber grommet and rubber heat shrink tubing

Installed a Hayden 678 transmission cooler. I installed the cooler without drilling any holes, its completely suspended and 3/8 of a inch in front of the the air condition condenser. The cooler had all rubber foam mounted brackets. Also did a 4 quart transmission oil change. I have to say that my transmission oil was in good shape after 50K miles.
Are you towing a lot? Why install the cooler?

I installed that Hayden as insurance - want to protect my tranny, especially wheeling hard in the desert heat ;-) They're inexpensive and simple to install...no reason not to!
Nice. I was thinking of doing the same thing. How much extra fluid did you need? How did you hook it up?

Picked up a used set of allpro sliders. Cleaned them up and coated them with spray on bedliner.

Finally installed my icon 2.5s and tubular UCAs. Next is to replace the lower ball joints and bushings, then the sway bar links.

If you've got 2.5's on there ditch the sway bar altogether!
What would that do for me? Wouldn't I lose stability on the highway?
Your front sway bar is the limiting factor for flex in the front. Yes, you'll lose some stability but increase off-road performance. The idea with 2.5's being that the increased spring diameter and rate will counter (somewhat) the lack of a sway bar. I've got WE 2.5's and no sway bar, the only thing I do differently is I take curved highway on-ramps slightly slower now, no change in around town/slow speed driving habits. It's easy enough to take off and try for a few days to see if you like it, if you don't then put it back on.

Nice cover. Where did you get it?
See here (LINK - Kartek). Just choose the one with the correct dimensions for your coil.
thanks
WTF is wrong with your uni-ball? Pretty sure your not supposed to grease those.

I'll clean it up. I was planning on capping it with the Amsoil Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease, NLGI #2 grease on top. Thanks for the info

Just in case anyone is wondering, Smittybilt XRC Pro Comp winches fit inside the hidden winch bumpers, without relocating the control box. And the plug has been moved to the SIDE of the control boxes rather than the top in the first gen ones, so access is easy-peasy :bigthumb: Clocking the clutch end was easy as well, one "notch" was perfect for the lever access. Unfortunately, they shipped me a synthetic rope with a fray in it from the factory... ugh. Supposedly the rope isn't covered under warranty, but I hope I can convince them that it really wasn't my fault. You'd think they at least owe me an un-damaged product to start if they're not going to warantee it...
Following to see if they make good on their product
