This may sound weird but we are always doing something like 4x4, washing , a good coat of wax picture, a new sticker, wheels, lift, super charger or just an oil change the point is what you did today to or with the FJ cruiser.
This is my favorite thread on the jeep forum and probably the most popular in their entire forum with over two million posts, So why not here? I'll start it off and its up to all of us to keep it going.

1. Today I added a headliner supercharger sticker to my windshield after giving her a bath.

Oooh, those look nice! And $70 off with the sale! Thanks for posting this.
Did you see up top that I put some pics of my wife's Mazda I was doing. They seem to be a good product.
They came in a big box so they weren't wrinkled.

Got a obd bluetooth reader, a 7 inch android tablet, installed torque pro, followed some directions on here and now have coolant and transmission temps available. Mainly wanted to see what temperatures were like when I'm pulling the boat and figure out if I should install a transmission cooler. Haven't towed the boat yet with it on but will probably tomorrow. Temps around 200 when just going down the highway so I should probably go ahead and do a flush and add the cooler now.

Got my FJ beached on a snow berm on the Al-can highway, deep in the Yukon, going 40 MPH. A plower had gone through before me and somehow left a big berm in the middle of my lane, and there was a huge blizzard so visibility was around 20 feet.

No cell service, no shovel, no winch, -10° outside temp and dropping. Beached like a whale. Luckily I had outdoor gear enough to dig outside in the snow with regular breaks inside the cruiser to warm back up while I watched my fuel gauge get lower and lower. Got stuck at 10:30pm, got unstuck at 4am after digging probably 1-2 thousand pounds of snow with a piece of firewood, and popping her in 4-low and locking the rear diff. Dented my fuel tank pretty good, but no leaks somehow.

Lessons learned: all that dorky overland recovery gear is not always just for decoration, haha. Got humbled good.

Looks like just the tank guard, doing what it’s there for. Glad you got out. Yep never leave without a shovel/spade, any time of year! I got stuck in a drift up the Dempster, passing traffic thought I was just being a tourist and carried on by… I dug myself out with shovel and using the floor mats… they’ll give you a good bit of traction!

Long time no post y’all! Finally got around to throwing a rooftop tent on the FJ! Been shopping for a while and landed on the Roofnest Falcon XL. Fits my small family perfectly! Pic was from camp the day before I drove back home a day early to pick up the tent

Glad you got out. It feels good to do it on your own. I put cheap heated seat covers in mine in the winter in case I slid off and couldn't keep the engine on.

Glass is definitely my biggest complaint.
They never order the right stuff to do windshield.

Almost done with my water heater build.

still waiting for a few more quick-connects parts for the propane and for the water line to keep from binding when i close the container. also working on a more suitable hanger for the ladder. I bent a heavy gauge wire to make some hooks in the interim.

packs neatly in the case. not my idea. borrowed from some guy on youtube. I already tested using my 20L jerry and works perfectly. last long overlander trip, i boiled water so this will be a welcomed addition. sorry folks, I don't do cold water.

I finally had to do glass also. You may want to read about it in here if you haven't. The installers sometimes break clips which will eventually make the "cowell" pieces fly off. Also the rubber piece "ornament" on the antenna may get torn up. Mine did.

The FJ is now a little over 10 yrs old w/ 70K miles, I bought it new in December 2012.

So last week I replaced: the coolant (including draining the block on pass side), the two radiator hoses, new radiator cap, and put in a new thermostat. First time ever and the coolant didn't look too bad. Did not replace the heater hoses, prob should have. Also put in a new belt and replaced the 3 idler pulleys. All went well.

Today I went to do a trans drain and fill, since it's been 2 yrs since my last change. Welp, the drain plug was hard to remove, and I knew something wasn't right. I must have done something stupid last time. Trans pan threads stripped. So, I ordered a new pan, new gasket, new drain plugs and the 20 pan bolts. Might just buy a new filter since the pan will be off. I'll have to buy a couple more qts of WS, as I have 4 qts now, since I'm assuming more fluid will come out when I drop the pan/filter.

So the FJ is parked until I get it fixed.

I’m on my third windshield. Luckily, this was only a chip fix. I stuck with OEM Toyota for the first two, but went aftermarket for the third. It seems to be just as good. Hopefully they will have FJ Gorilla Glass by my next full replacement. I ordered an extra head trim piece last time, but the tech did the replacement in my driveway under close (hovering) supervision and was able to save it.

Swapped out the light load rear springs with the stiffer of the two medium load springs Ironman offers today. After installing the storage/sleeping platform system, my FJ's ass had gotten a bit too droopy for my liking. Gained an extra ~1.25" of lift in the rear, and absolutely love how it looks now. Only took around 2.5 hours, much quicker than when I installed the lift about a year ago.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but in person with the new springs you've never seen a less droopy ass.

The old yellow top has been a little sluggish on cold days. Good time to install the genesis kit.

Is that a Gen2 or a Gen3? I'm looking at a Gen3 and G-Screen (although I wish he had something more like the RedArc screen — the G-Screen is so tiny)

I'm on the precipice of replacing the original windshield (2012, 120k miles) ... was thinking of going with OEM glass too; do you really think it's just as good?
I spent the day digging it out of 6 feet of snow. I got the truck unburied but I still have to dig out the berm in front of the FJ. We got 6 ft of snow since Thursday and we have another storm coming Monday into Tuesday Heres what it looked like before we started digging this morning,

I recently moved and now in an apartment complex. Since I don’t drive much, I needed a battery charging solution as I can’t use my Ctek charger as much as I’d like. I can use it on weekends though.

So, I got a 30W solar panel and controller combo. Amazon.com

It holds in place with just the windshield sun shade. I might buy some magnetic suction cups to make it a bit more secure.

I bought a CB radio female power plug and cut off the cloths line clip style battery terminal connectors that came with the kit and soldered on the CB connector as I already have wiring run for my CB that connects directly to the battery.

I set it up on an overcast day and happy it was able to work. It's showing 12.5v in the pic so, not too bad for an overcast day.
