I put on an addition that I’d swear adds 7-9 hp at the rear wheel.

Caught an industrial screw in the tire. Probably happened passing by construction or maybe a neighborly gesture in my apt. complex. Thank you to America's Tire / @Discount Tire centers for patching her right up. Jus want to mention America's Tire/ Discount Tire and off-road specific stores are the only ones that will mount and handle 40s. Other big box brand such as Firestone can only handle up to 37s

Yep, gotta avoid construction vehicles like the plague especially, dump trucks regarding your windshield.

Wow!!! Those tires are HUGE! How did you get those to fit? Do they fit? :) Do you have any threads on this somewhere or should I PM you?

They fit... Almost. I never made an official post about fitting them. Haven't really worked out the kinks yet but did share some on 39s on with minimal rubbing and maximum hammering.

And now the 40s introduce another area I hadn't seen before in the rear on 39s. Eventually will need to tube or tub the fenders to get the necessary clearance

@jamesepoop thank you for the shout out! We appreciate your support.

@TXmerlot thank you for your business! The white letters pop and match the roof line color. Good choice.
Specifically giving a shout out to Alex and his team at 3601 N I35, TX.

  • they took care of the wheels….Assured me that they’d get the faux beads on without scratching the polished ring.
  • balanced but also allocated the wheels to optimize weight distribution for performance
  • assured me going up from 285s to 305s would work…felt like Alex had the years of experience to eyeball my setup and give me confidence. Further, it was comforting to know that a test fit for the tires would be run and I could downsize.
  • good vibe at the store too

I told my wife that I was going to watch some videos on how to swap my plugs and all my liquids. She looked at me in a weird way and said "didn't you just tell me about a guy that drained his transmission trying to change the oil? And what about the dealer that screwed up the other guys transmission?" I said "uh, yep." So thanks dude. That was expensive.
Note to myself -not to talk to wife so much.

Replaced the crappy chinesium Amazon lights I’ve had on the front bumper for years that filled with moisture every time it rained with some ARB lights.
