I thought I would throw out something. We still have to get everything wraped up with our swing outs first but we do have a product that has been on the back burner we are about to bring out. What it does is add a safety shock to a hi-lift so that the handle can not spring back on you. In fact in testing it we were able to lower a FJ using the hi-lift with our product and only needed one hand to hold on the handle. We could even take our hand off and let the handle follow as it slowly lowered the vehicle. We do not have a name for this yet or pictures but we do have a patent pending and are planning on bringing this to market next.

Dang higgo!!! Friggin Ouch!!!

Well here's my small story, my Hi-Lift is mounted on the right rear roof rack. I have to use a small step ladder to be able to install it or take it down and thats with me over extending my reach. I'm 5:11 and my roof rack is about 8'. The day I needed it I did not have anything to stand on but the 35" tire. One hand on the roof rack to hold on to as I tried to get the center balance weight and pull the Hi-lift off the jack holders. The bolt studs were tight and i was tugging hard to remove it when the front slid off the bolt and I was leaning way out. The weight of the jack with my arm extended out and not having a good grip I had to let go and jump away. The front swung down and hit the roof and the rear popped off the rear bolt and the jack hit the ground with a big thud as it just missed my left leg by about a inch. I now have a modified scissor electric lift with a couple of 4x4 and 2x4 wood blocks. I like the Hi-lift I just need to find a safe place to stow it where I can get at it without all the hassle.

I own one BUT:
It's a dinosaur!
Designed around the turn of the LAST century!
Cut it some slack...HELL YEAH IT'S DANGEROUS! EVERYTHING WAS DANGEROUS IN 1905 including Coca Cola which had pure cocaine!

People lived on the edge back then!
