Drove out to ranch to check on the solar well install. One of the first steps in completing my families self sustaining shipping container cabin build out.

It’s been a fun process so far, working with a 40’ high cube. Was notified by my container supplier that prices will be increasing due the corona virus, guess it’s causing a shortage on available containers.

Was suppose to meet with a fj group for a run but missed the time so I was playing catch up and just stopped to take pictures. Met @mk3 who was headed back. Dude likes to rip too! View attachment 1123195

Don't you know you have to regear with 37's??!! How does that thing even move??? Bwahaha. (Where did that myth start? Facebook?) Keep on rockin with those stock gears bud. Prove them wrong.

37s with stock gears? Really? Just from reading on this forum I'm worried going over 33 required a re-gear, didnt really make sense to me. I would assume it's a bit slower off the line now.

Nothing "requires" a regear. I ran 37s on factory gears for a while. Upgraded to 4.88's when I got the chance but didn't feel like I absolutely had to, just wanted front and rear ARB lockers. If you drive mountains everyday or tow it might be nice but on 33's honestly I would not worry about it. If you don't already have 33's, I would get the tires THEN decide if you want a little pep back or not. Yes slower off the line but still keeps up and exceeds traffic when needed.

Good to know, I was going back and forth between 295 70 and 285 75. Looks like the 285 75 are gonna get a shot.

Elevation makes a huge difference too. 37s up here on 3.73s are anemic on 4.0 platforms. Still running 35s on mine with stock gears and just don't have the time to swap them out yet. Hopefully before the Morrison.
