Chino Mesa. I reduced the RTT install time by shortening the bolts and omitting one of the rear attachments. Plenty of support without.

Assumed this was a pet burial but the name would indicate other wise, first and last with a common local last name,.2001.

And for you UFO believers this is clearly one of them.

Got Jade out for a warmup. Mt Hood of course. Managed to high center her in some snow. x4 for the winch to save our bacon. We did manage to get to Timothy Lake and around. I'd rather be stuck in snow than mud!

Beautiful day and no pics :(

We drove out to the Sheeps Bridge on the Verde River. It's a really cool spot on the river but its about 35 miles (one way) of rough, bumpy road .......... after getting out of town. 4 wheel drive isn't really needed in dry weather but low range is a God Send as the last 12 miles are very much down hill, a real brake saver! ATV's and side by sides have pretty much destroyed the road so a high clearance vehicle is needed.
Had lunch by the water, it was really nice to get out again! :)

Went out Saturday for the first time in a while. Broke trail through about 3 feet of snow because I had walked ahead and the road was clear around the next corner. Then I got to the next switchback and it went from bare road to 4-6 feet deep in about 20 feet of trail. Didn't feel like pulling cable so we turned around.

So did you find the natural spring by the bridge down in the reeds. last time I took the FJ out there we had entertainment also.he kept it running until they pulled it out. did you take Bloody Basin from I-17 or Cave Creek through Seven Springs and turn right on Bloody Basin

Yes, I've been out there many times over the years. :) Usually take the dirt bike though. This time I went out through Seven Springs, my wife had never been out there and its a bit to far for her on her dirt bike.

Always have the idiots trying to cross the river without checking the depth first. This time it was a brand new Ram 4X4. He got a 4X4 recovery service to haul him out .......... but the tow truck broke down about half way up the hill. Sad to say but, I have grown cold to those idiots that think a truck is a boat, especially when its a couple grand to get extracted from a somewhat remote area.

To the liquor store for a case of wine and a bottle of bourbon - I'm doing my part to help reopen the economy
On a serious note - I can't wait to get back out for an overnight trip somewhere. But even before the shutdown it was tough with being on-site out of town for [email protected] a time
Keep the pics coming people, I'm living thru them @ the moment

Our weekly, or so, trip up to Mt Hood. The back way to Detroit Lake is open. What snow there was is completely gone.

Not all the trails are open yet.

We were told the lake was down but looks pretty good for this time of year. US Corps of Engineers is supposed to 'drain' the lake for a project that is going to monitor temperature reading at various levels of the lake. The tower is supposed to be somewhere near the dam. Haven't seen much activity in the area. They say 'its for the fish'. Pretty much as 'its for the children'. Draining the lake would kill the little town. I think some folks raised so much sh!t that they are rethinking the draining.
