First trail I ever ran in Moab so long ago.
My navigator took me the hard way in from mile marker 30. Got serious (for me) with 1 minute of pavement. Then yellow jacket canyon gave me pause. You can either take the steep drop or traverse the 'easy' way. I took the traverse. Was somewhat relieved to take the easy way out. Can't beat the views from the overlook. Saw one disco, motorcycles and several OHVs.

I was with a friend that talked me into going to the Easter Safari so we were in a good sized group. I was driving my 1990 extra cab pickup and did good with no problems. The next day we ran Cliff Hanger. Did good on that one until coming out at the end and I just couldn't quite get up the ledge so I took a strap. Sicker than a dog towards the end of the trail as I was dehydrated and the heat was hitting me hard. It was in the teens in WY with wind chills below zero and Moab was in the high 80s.

First time to Cinder Hills near Flaggstaff. Lived in AZ for almost 20 years and still find cool stuff in the back yard. Bonus, I finally got to pull the pins on the front swaybar discos, what a HUGE difference.

Started up the back way to Crown King from Lake Pleasant on Sunday. had a friend in town from Michigan. things were good first half of the day. ran some of the obstacles if there was no one else on them. then I cut a right front tire. so changed that and then cut the right rear about 2 miles later. so got lucky and a fellow Toyota owner let me use his spare off his Tacoma. made a decision to turn around and head back we were about half way to Crown King.

Tires had 60000 miles on them and the funny thing is I ordered new tires on Friday and they are being installed Tuesday (tomorrow) Thought I would take one more trip on them well murphy's law got me. sure am glad I had my cordless impact that I keep in the truck makes things a lot faster. both of the tires got destroyed. had to run flat a little bit to get to a decent spot to get the high lift out that was safe.

the only good tire on the truck was the spare lol. put new ones on Yesterday. a sharp piece of granite got the front that I should have seen. not sure what got the back it scraped the wheel up.

I will let you know I have something I am supposed to do if I can get out of it will let you know. I would advise getting a early start it was busy. one of the reasons we turned around was there was a truck stuck on the shelf road past the mine. several people had turned around and were coming back. said they were trying to winch him out.
