Came back from a drive, checking my battery... Which is dead so just before turning it off I went to dump some trees that I trimmed
(pretty cool camouflage I must say, they'll never see me coming)

And now the FJ is in Toyota for diagnostic to see what's up

And say they took off my door decals at the body shop to fix the doors 😭 time to find new ones I guess (thinking of golden ones this time 🤔)

After more than 3 weeks in hibernation, drove Lakandula to Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, CA. Easy and moderate trails criss-cross Alabama Hills and driving around the different rock formations is quite a sight, a respite from work indeed.

The colors here in Utah have been changing and today I drove a road called the Alpine Loop, and I'm glad I did! The storm came in this evening that is supposed to drop snow up here over the next couple days so if I didn't drive it this morning like I did I would have missed this! They close the roads once the snows come.

Saturday, went up to Mt Hood to check out the fall colors. It was raining and we were days late to catch the yellows. Most of the leaves had fallen. We did catch the Larches before the needles fell. Trillium Lake like glass. No reds yet, hasn't had a good freeze.

The Larch trees turn yellow and lose their needles. In the winter most people think they are dead. In the spring/summer you can't tell them from the Fir trees when they grow their needles back.

I have a lot of those Tamarack (Larch) trees on my property in Montana. I never knew anything about them until we bought the property. Had no idea there were Conifers that changed colors and dropped needles. We also have Firs, Hemlock, Cedar, Spruce, Black Cottonwoods, and Evergreens on the property.

El Palmar, Yucatán...
Beach stretch between Sisal and Celestun...
Passed about 80km of Beach and Swamps
Started the day with a small rescue of a Willy and from there took off through the beach and mud till we reached a lighthouse
Even got a small visitor that decided to crawl up my wheel and in the mud flapps, needed to fight it out with sticks...
