Who has the biggest FJ association/club

1946 Views 33 Replies 18 Participants Last post by  FJDave
Coming fom Oahu Hawaii I am amazed at the level of participation of just meet and greets and trail runs. I used to be happy if 7 trucks showed up for a run. Theese days I'm seeing over a hundred rigs for one event!! This is not a bragging thing, I'm just interested where the biggest active FJ crews are in the US or otherwise. I would put my dollar on SoCal but i stand to be proven wrong. Remeber the summit doesn't count because thats a family reunion.

Is there any doubt that it's SoCal? The last M&G had over 40 FJs in trail runs.
I don't know... we have a hell of alot of FJers here in AZ. We don't always do large meet and greets though. Trails get kinda congested at that size.

Though I will say when Doc throws a barbecue, we come outta the woodwork.

SoCal/AZ meet and greet? I know this great spot in Colorado about two hours north of Durango...

Hmm sounds like a fun Idea. Alot of folks just went to Sedona fest recently too. I hear it was a blast!!
I think it just may be the FJ Bruisers (mid-Atlantic area). We're over 60 members, I believe. Have about 70 rigs showing up for the Mud Fling at George Washington National Forest Memorial Day wknd.

Now we don't have 45 to 50 rigs out for every trail run, but there's great participation on the trail and on the boards. Also, to be fair, we've let a few of our older brethern with 4Runners participate, so I don't know the exact number of FJs. Should be at least 50-55, tho. Our members range from New York to North Carolina and all the states in between.

AZFJ baby:D

Does it matter how big it is? I thought it was how you use your club, is what actually matters:lol:
It's not the quantity but the quality!!!!

Just kidding!!!! :stickpoke:
Actually, we are not a club so we are disqualified. :D We are just a community of FJ owners who are nutty about wheeling and all things FJ (Teotwaki, you're an honorary member ).

Good point.....This is how we introduce our NON-club....compliments of BellyDoc...

Welcome to AZFJ!

Welcome to the official unofficial web page for the AZFJ's, a random collection of people
who have agreed, by tacit consent, not to abide by any principles of governance. We
are not a "club", a "group" or an "organization".

Bound together by an entirely arbitrary bond, our unusual capacity for cooperation and
collective benevolence is a random stroke of luck. That we function at all is a feat.

Without label, and in defiance of categorization, the thing itself remains, barely able to
retain it's own name. It is to be beheld without being described. It is what it is.

I love it!! Nice, Homedad(r)!! :D

I think the AZFJ folks have the title, but we are a close 2nd. BUT, have the AZFJ folks had over 100 rigs at an event yet? :D We have photographic evidence of ours!!
If we're counting nonclubs, we'll still beat AZ. I wouldn't doubt it if we can double their numbers. We may not have "registered" nonclub members, we have a much larger community. :D Even with the dilution of the socal section of the forum, we still have a monster amount of postings. Not bragging, but... ok, maybe bragging..
114 members and growing with 702 FJ Crew - An FJ Cruiser Owner's Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. and they just purged the club to boot the inactive members. It was much higher before the purge, but I think "active" membership is what matters.
NWFJCC 193 members to date and still growing.
We'll have to see what the second Northeast run brings out. We had 42 for the Easter run. The Northeast Lobster Run in September should be even bigger and better. There are a few of us doing a pre-run at the end on June. Be curious to see who shows up for that. This is a Canadien/US Northeast combo group, but a great group of folks we have.
We have 202 registered members on our socal forum.. I bet if we got everyone over there, it would be HUGE.

Welcome to the SoCal FJ Cruiser Forums
I'm starting to see why you have almost 4000 posts, Dom! Just 51 more....:D
