I have a quick question re: Wickid CAS rear seat POD's. Do they require cutting to install? Or are they just set into that spot above the armrest? I just picked up 2- 6 1/2" round speakers & want them in that spot, looking into those POD's from Wickid CAS, nice factory look with those. If you have them please let me know how they are installed. I contacted Wickid CAS & waiting for a reply but just fishi'n for some info. TANX, MAXX

If I remember correctly. Use the pod as a template, trace the hole and cut. I cut the whole in the plastic panel using a rotozip style tool. Place the speaker into the pod and mark and drill holes. Then I screwed the whole speaker and pod into the plastic panel.

I also found the vendor commented here on mounting them:

Yep... had to cut a hole for the speaker to fit. Then screwed the speaker to the POD that went through to the plastic.

Thanks, i ended up calling them last night. The guy on the phone told me what was needed for install, not thrilled about cutting the holes, I know they won't be seen, but just knowing there there. How did you guy's end up wiring the speakers in? I'm starting with a new head unit this Saturday morning & running all speakers (none are stock now), off amps. Thanks again for the info. MAXX

G'day MAXX,
Wow... The full Monty... It will sound great, I'm sure, just sorry it blew the budget for you.
Good luck,
Cheers
