Hey people,

During that snow storm last Thurs, some dude ran thru a red light and hit my FJ. Luckily he started to brake and I swerved enough in time to have any serious damage. He did manage to hit my running board, scuff my rim and take off my mudflap.

He's going to cover the costs since it was his fault. Before I call the dealership for an estimate thought I'd check the forum here to see if anyone is getting rid of their stock running boards or any other type of rock rails. I just need the right side one as that's the only one damaged, but I'm sure there's only pairs for sale out there.

If I do get rock rails I am hoping to find one that you can use as a step into the cabin so it would need to come out from the body a little. Now after this incident, I see the protective benefits of a board/rail. There's been other times in the parking lots where it's blocked door dings from the car beside me too.

Anyways... I'm in the Calgary area. Would prefer to pick up locally.

thanks for the link DevDvr. out of all the rails/sliders i've seen, these are probably the ones i like the best. and... i even have the girlfriend approval! also being that it comes from Vancouver is icing on the cake (i hate brokerage and high shipping fees). so once i get the cheque from the insurance company this is what i'll be getting.

i'll probably add some grip tape on there too like others have suggested in other threads. i can see the tubes getting slippery in the rain and wintertime.

so now... if you need a drivers side running board, hit me up... we can work something out. :bigthumb:
