I had the opportunity to use one the other day on a project here in southern NM. I was not a fan of the interior and I still perfer the FJ handling over the XTerra. Just my 2 cents worth. chris

Xterras are overlooked there truly a great sut. Though my fj in my eyes is better!

A buddy of mine as a 06 X and it's a nice rig, but the big problem with the newer X's is that there are little to no mods for them, the only lifts for the front is spacers, the rear is a leaf spring setup so it's not as simple of a lift as a 4 link and other then shackles nobody is making a rear lift for the new X. There are a few bumpers and sliders out there but no where near the choices we have.

I've driven his and even though they have a few more HP mine still feels quicker and more limber. Also I like having a shifter for the 4wd and not a knob to twist

We own both and FJ and an Xterra. The XT is older (2000) and there is no comparison between the two. The FJ is miles ahead. I know they have made several improvement to the X but I find it hard to believe that it can compare even today.
