Hey folks, been lurking since I got my new truck a couple weeks ago, and decided it was time for a formal introduction. Live in Central Ohio.
Recently bought this from my brother who lives in NJ who did a lot of fun mods to it. He's a fireman, so that accounts for the horn...lol.
I've been driving leased Mercedes Benz GL450s for the past 7 years, and decided to drive something I own for a change. Bro had put some real cash into this thing, and I thought it looked pretty sweet ...and I figure it will go 200,000k if I take care of it.
My brother had been using Nitto Mud Grapplers on it...and didn't mind the noise. Coming from the Benz, I could not stand the noise, so I put Falken Wild Peaks on it...and as advertised...they are Ninja Quiet...and have good performance ratings in snow, ice, and rain.
I have some minor cosmetics mods planned in the near term...smoke color LED tail and parking lights...and I'm considering putting some new EBC rotors, pads, and lines in it due to the extra weight. I'm a bit of a late braker...and I can feel the extra weight from the mods in stopping times.
So far, my biggest b!tch is not being able to get both the phone (handsfree) or and the BT audio to work at the same time. I can get one or both paired on my iphone 6+. but not both. Frustrating as hell...if anybody has any advice, I'd appreciate it.
Never been off road, which is a shame. I plan to get her dirty. >
