I've been noticing that the YouTube video links are not working the same since the forum change.

Used to show the video window with image and title of the video. Could play the video right at the forum.

Now it takes you to YouTube in a separate session..

Went back and checked old videos, not displaying as they used to.

Check the recent music videos in "What are you listening to".

Hey there. Sorry to hear that the Youtube videos aren't showing up like they used to. I'll try tweaking a few things in the back end to see if it helps. Please let us know if you notice any changes.

Cheers,

Erik

If you guys (admins/mods @Administrator) need help with this, I can point you in the right direction...

The quick fix is to change how BBCode embeds YouTube IDs... it currently defaults to using the non-secure youtube URL in the embed tag (http should be https).

The better fix is to change the BBCode YouTube embed script entirely since it's embedding the old-school flash player which is pretty much dead these days. It should embed an HTML5 video tag instead.

This is my forte, so let me know if you would like some help.

I've been getting that a lot lately even on the YouTube site in a separate window. I thought it was because I'm on my phone and something to do with data usage.

Here is one directly from YouTube.

The only thing off in Posting Rules is HTML code is off. Always been off that I know of.

BTW, Lee's (Admin Lee) video works fine, just music and picture, no video..
