Yes, I change the filter every time. I also drive the full 5k miles between changes.

I use 5.5 us qts Castrol 5w30 synthetic blend+ new filter every 5000 miles.

If you're adding something like a can of seafoam to your oil to you add the recommended amount of oil then the additive or do you have to subtract the volume of additive from the oil so the overall addition is the specified amount?

 

You said you use "Castrol synthetic blend", right? Do you realize that it is not "full synthetic" as Toyota recommends? I only use full synthetic and IMHO, "synthetic blend" should not go same distance between changes as full synthetic for me, 5k. Blend I'd change at 3k, just like regular dino oil. IMHO, the relatively small additional cost is well worth it! Your truck, your decision. Also, I use TRD filter each change, FYI.

I think Toyota and other Car manufacturer recommend their oil only.


I used 30w_50 oil..

Because in my city the the temperature degrees:

Min: 86F
Max: 122F

The only oil for smooth engine running is 30w_50
