Its funny....I have taken to leafing through truck magazines and if I see an FJ article I scoop the mag up....Anyone else do that at Indigo/Chapters/Borders and other magazine stores?

Has anyone seen anything about rehab for FJ-addiction????

Very very very interesting, So has anyone seen a Xterra Summit going on?

I don't know where these guys got their info from. but I thinks somone at Nissan paid them off.. There is no way a Xterra beat a Wrangler let alone an FJ... Somthing smells rotten in CA these days and it isn't the Fires or TJ

While I don't feel the Xterra can beat the FJ, but don't sell them short. They are a decent rigs and I do agree that they have better visibility then our FJ's that a fact. They have also been around longer then our FJ's and they have a fairly large following and they do have big get togethers like goneMOAB. If it wasn't for the X-terra market we probably wouldn't have the FJ.

I just did a run with some of the NorCal FJ's and the NCCX(Northern California Club Xterra) we had stock FJ's and Xterra's as well as modified rigs and they all did great on the trail and it wasn't a fire road. A lot of it depends on the driver and their confidence with their rig.

Interesting article, but not the best!

The article has a great photo section too, including a shot of the engine bay of each truck. What struck me was how much of a mess the Jeep engine is - it's a jungle of hoses, wires, and belts. Just goes to show how much less thought and passion goes in to Jeeps.

:lol:That was my thoughts, I am sure I could be Non Biased enough to give the Nissan a fair shot, shot with a 30-06... Couldn't tell I don't like Nissan....:lol::lol:

Yah I know they are nice and all, but I am not looking at it from the stand point of how nice the car is. I look at things as value, the Nissan you pay a lot for, as much if not more than the FJ, and in 1 year it is worth 10K, this is what Nissan has done to it's market. Now with the gas and all the FJ isn't much better but it is still better.. Besides you have less problems with the Toyota per 100K than the Nissan.. Actually Nissan is almost the worst Japanese brand for problems, Mazda is the only one worse than Nissan and Infinity. So while it may do well off road, the FJ does better, it doesn't hold up as well and will cost you a lot more over the frist 100K than any Toyota will.. Yes I am Bias, I know.. It comes with territory...

I read the test several times...from a pure off-road perspective, I agree the Rubicon would likely take top honors. However, I think it would have been more "Apples to Apples" if they tested the FJ with off-road package that has more aggressive tires. I have the offroad package and the BFG Rugged trail tires that are better offroad than the standard BS Duelers (which I have put many of thousands of miles on too).

Obviously, this was a subjective test...we FJ owners know who the winner eally is.

"Day 1: Hungry Valley - It Begains"

If they could spell correctly I might take this article seriously. It should read

Day 1: Hungry Valley - It Begins
