Project Broccoli to Brocctimus Prime

I have been a member on here for the better part of 3 years (although my previous name I forgot so I had to create a new one). I have owned my 2011 TT fj (name is broccoli) for over 5 months now. I have done a lot of local off roading and I realized I really wanted to make it a lot better. I haven't really shared any photos or info during the build simply because I didn't feel it was anything special. I still don't think its anything special, its about as generic of a build as you can get really. But I figure since I will likely be meeting some of you in the future, why not properly introduce Broccoli (named after the vegetable of course, due to its appetitie for dirt, and green color).

Life started as a stardard 2011 TT bought out of PA and brought back to wisconsin.

The first sort of off roading, It already had the dent in the bumper when I bought it, and I was ok with that. I already knew this FJ wasn't afraid to play rough..

Well everyone knows what a stock FJ looks like so why waste time with more pics of it stock?

This is how it is right now (and I still have more soon to do such as skidplates, armor, upgrade the alt when its ready, more exterior lighting, etc)

Running oversized trail grapplers on moto metal wheels. The wheels weren't my first, second, or third choice. I actually wound up with them because all of the ones I wanted (and one set I ordered) wouldn't fit. I don't mind them. I really wanted a lightweight deep dish wheel to keep the rim damage to a minimum off roading. They work much better then the factory wheels.

Running with Icon EXT travel front coil overs, piggy back rear shocks, front springs changed to King 700s, rear changed to OMEs. Total chaos upper control arms, T/C gusseted spindles, etc. This pic shows prior to different springs/work done, it sits a bit higher now.

Incase your wondering, yes a BMC was required for the tires. A BFH, sawsall, grinder, and sharp knife were also required.

In case your wondering, yes, it has teeth. The winch cable was pulled off prior to this picture for inspection (was used 6 times) and for cleaning. Speaking of winch, its a 12.5 superwinch wired with 1/0 cable. Solenoid is where most people put the second battery.

A older pic of the battery setup. A single X2 battery from batteries plus (Oddessy 2150). Run with 1/0 cable to winch. Wiring to post terminals have all be redone, and the alt/grounds/starter/etc have all be required with bigger cable.

The rear features ammo containers for all the recovery gear, and supplies. I also have the highlift 60" extreme, shovels, axes, etc, all mounted inside.

I am also going to make my own snorkel thats similar to a hummer H1s. I am working on storage for the rear door. Axel links will be going on soon, same with skids. I have a lot of "custom" stuff planned but due to the craptastic winter I am limited right now, along with being to busy to even think.

Nice rig, good to see some pics too! I don't think she looks generic at all. The shark mouth grill is my favorite, haha. The wheels and DO bumper are looking tight too. Now the broccoli makes more sense knowing its an AG TT FJ :cheers:

Thanks for all of your advice on the electrical stuff too!

Oh and I have the same 6MT tranny and tcase knobs. Very nice!

My first pick (and I spent 8 months looking for) was a 6MT 2010 TT in sandstorm with the 6mt trans. It was impossible to find one with less then 50K miles. I came upon Broccoli online through search tempest somehow. Made a offer and flew out a few days later with my buddy. I was in it and driving for over 24 hours to get it (had to make a few stops for stuff on the way back). Probably the happiest I had been ever. I had been looking at FJs for 3 years and was finally able to get one. The all green has grown on me, and it works real well here since it blends in very well.

I normally drive it with mud all over and I have turned up on numerous peoples face books that I don't know (friends send me links lol) and get lots of people taking pictures of him at stoplights. "broccoli" even made it on craiglist (A woman took a picture of the teeth through her rear view mirror and posted a ad/picture on criagslist for him). Get hit on by a lot of cougars too :lol: .
