Christmas lights on the roof rack

For anyone interested, I did this last year, 3 strands of 50 LED lights each will cover the roof rack, plug into the outlet in the storage area, and work well underway. It won't power four strands moving, and be sure you stick with LEDs, they use less juice, last longer, and are more durable.

The kids love it.:rocker:

I had the lights and a few bats for Halloween! My daughter and the neighborhood kids loved it. I wanted to do something for Christmas but may not get a chance this year. We'll see.

As far as getting ticketed, I didn't drive down the freeways with lights on, just in the residential streets and passed a few cops that didn't seem bothered by the lights.

So I started with one strand of 210 C6 bulbs... but I got a little carried away with how tight I was wrapping them and ended up only covering half so I had to add another strand. 420 lights later (and lots of zip ties to keep 'em from click-clacking on my roof) I got it done.
The front light bar and wind deflector help hide them from oncoming traffic, so hopefully Johnny law will let me be this holiday season (for my lights, anyway).
