Hot driver side frame.

Hey I was wondering if everyones FJ front driver side frame gets realy hot. I know its near the cat but never relized how hot my frame got till today. It even made my stock sliders feel warm. The only reason i relized it today was because I was barefoot driving on the beach and when i steped out onto the door frame it felt very warm. The engine temp looked fine and I am sure its normal but its the first time i felt it.

It may be heat transfer from the motor/exhaust/transmission as well as heat pick up from the sand/road. Mine gets hot on hot days, and I have a black FJ. But on warm or cool days it's normal.

It is normal. The fan is always pushing hot air against the firewall and hood which in turn pushes it down and out behind the rear tires. If you check, both sides will be about the same temp.
