Hello, I have one of these,

Has anyone figured out how to update the software? Mine keeps downloading and update but will not install and fails.

I've got the Octacore 4gb/64gb version of this same unit also from Amazon. Just installed yesterday and no issues so far. I did need to do a reset after the first power up because the touch screen calibration was totally out to lunch. I've not yet received any update notifications but I will let you know if I encounter the issue. Out of curiosity do you have a factory subwoofer and did you get it working with your headunit?

I have the kingbeats 10" Android Stereo installed
Had issues with the sub and steering controls
Now all solved
How? What I did? Well,
Took it to someone who knows what they're doing 🤣

I asked to bypass the sub switch, always on
And I guess they literally crossed all the wires till they got the steering wheel control to work, I had a mess there from previous stereo that was installed (and worked fine)

After I just needed to program the buttons and sub in the settings of the device... And done, works great now.

I will recommend that if it doesn't work and you tried, just take it to someone to make it work.
I gave up but it works now so, I'm happy.

Has anyone experienced strange head unit reactions when rowing down the windows or other actions requiring electronic buttons in the FJ? For example, sometimes when I row the driver's side window down using the door button the head unit will switch to the GPS setting view. I am using the head unit in a 2013 FJ with no subwoofer.

When it's hot out my volume up button on the steering wheel changes the station. once the interior cools down it's fine.

i never was able to get the GPS working. tried different antennas, no signal at all. also the bluetooth refuses to find my dongle to run torque. not sure if the unit is defective or it's my lack of android skillz.

Wow! A temperature sensitive button issue? That's a winner in my book. So far my steering wheel buttons work (volume and track/channel change) and so does my GPS using the antenna it came with. I tucked the GPS antenna inside compass stack on top of the dash and it gets a good signal. I've only used bluetooth for my phone and that seems to work okay too.

I'm betting there's some android software bugs the developers never encountered themselves unless they hit every button in the FJ. I'm tempted to pay for the AGAMA Android car launcher interface to see if that works any better than the OEM one.

Does anyone have the factory passwords for the developer options and factory settings? I have some issues I am hoping I can resolve with some options in these menus. In the past few weeks I have had issues with a bluetooth error where it keeps resetting itself, I also cannot turn on wifi...if I enable it it just turns itself off despite not being in airplane mode. As a result I cannot connect to apple carplay etc. Has anyone else experienced these issues?

Regarding the odd steering button control behaviour, my unit will occasionally mute when I roll up a window or push some other buttons. As I understand these controls are based on the unit receiving a specific voltage from each button, so I imagine I am just getting some stray voltage input.
