Need HID headlight recommendations

I could use some recommendations for a quality HID kit to install on my cruiser. I'm getting a bit exasparated. I've tried:
  • normal quality halogen bulbs (burn out rapidly)
  • lower end LEDs (horrible beam pattern, no real hi-low difference, etc)
  • Ultra high quality 110$ sylvania halogens (burnt out rapidly and looked like normal halogens)
  • Anzo projector assemblies (good while they worked, but they broke quickly. Cheaply made)
  • HeadlightExperts HID conversion kit (worked great, loved them until the left one burnt out this week after less than 2 months....)
Are there any reasonably priced HID kits out there that are reliable? Otherwise i'm just gonna mass-order cheap halogens from rockauto and always carry 2 spares.

Do you know why you are having such reliability problems with conventional halogen bulbs? The original factory bulbs are still fine in my FJ after more than 10 years and in Canada we have daytime running lights with no switch position to turn them off.

Is there something wrong with the the mounts that there is excessive vibration? Is the rubber seal missing or damaged? Are the bulbs being mishandled prior to install (touched by skin)? Water leak in the bulb housing? Alternator voltage too high? Are modern aftermarket halogen bulbs just junk these days? If the latter, then it would make sense to order in the original OEM bulbs at your Toyota dealership.
