I went with Bullet liner on my roof. I wondering how Plastidip holds up in comparison. Especially went cost for each is compared.
My roof was about 500.00 I believe.

 

for those of you who have done your grill in white, which specific white from plasti-dip did you go with?

 

Not as easy, the dip likes to bubble up on the emblem and hard to get out of the tight places

 

Saw this done and liked the contrast of the handles being black Contemplating doing all the light gray interior plastic paneling as well..

Finally got around to doing my dash area. But I'll have to redo it or it will drive me insane.

 

And yes, I did just realize basically resurrected a dead thread.....

But the dash dirty currently, looks better in person..

 

I was thinking about doing my bumper and wing caps but one of the thingsI've noticed is common is that the plasti dip is a darker black than the manufacturer plastic because it fades. That's definitely true of my fj. Has anyone actually plasti dipped the entire bumper and the plastic fenders above the tires? Does it work/hold up well?

 

It does ok on the bumper caps. Needs a few coats. not so good on the mirrors or door handles. Some on here have Plasti dipped the roof black. They look great.

 

Get a black door handles for FJ/Tacoma (they are the same) from purefj. It takes 15 minutes to replace them.

 

Did you remove your roof rack when you painted the roof? Been considering plasti dipping my roof but was paranoid about peeling off tape & it getting ruined after all the hard work.
