Sorting a new (to me) FJ - loose ground wire

Recently took ownership of a 07 FJ and have been going through it to clean it up and fix things.

I’ve got a lose wire coming off the harness on the passenger side next to the power steering pump. Probably a ground. There aren’t too many places where it might connect. I’m wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.

It might be easier to just tell us what isn't working with it disconnected. That way we can use the wiring diagram to figure out which ground it is.

Thanks for the response. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks and the airbag light is on. No idea if this has anything to do with it or not. I just saw this wire hanging free and knew it should be going somewhere. As far as I know everything else is working.

I ran into a fellow FJ er this evening while out on an errand. He let me look at his rig and identify where the wire should be grounded. It goes to the bolt that is at 1:00 in the picture.

Just looking at the picture and judging by the way the eyelet is twisted, it looks like it should connect somewhere to the left in the picture. If you try and connect it to that bolt to the right the eyelet will be turned the wrong way. I'm looking at some wiring diagrams and the closest ground point I see is A2. If it is that then your front right turn signal and front right parking light should not be working.

Now that i've blow up the pic I can see where it might go on the bolt head facing aft, but looking at the diagrams and if it is A2, looks like it should be going to a body point.

Yep, you’re 100% correct. The bolt that holds the little metal stub for the wiring harness to clip to is our winner.

Bolt not tight yet, but this shows where it goes.

I’m finding all sorts of lose or missing fasteners as I give it a once over. Judging from the carfax the previous owner had a lot of the work done to it at oil change places. 🤔
