This may be my next addition. Looks like a simple but highly effective and self activated security system. Them Aussies can be brilliant! 👍

What do ya think? Anybody foresee a down side?

Interesting. Basically a hidden kill switch (simple kill switches are easy and cheap to add to any car) but including a circuit to make it self activating so you don't have to remember to turn it on.

Note that its purpose is to protect you from a thief who first would have to steal your keys from you (or your kitchen).

Not effective against a tow truck (the most effective way for a thief to take your car, but probably more of an issue for valuable cars than, say, a "joy rider" type theft scenario the Starter Stopper was designed to defeat).

This system is pretty straight forward on the install guide, but once I read to cut the relay wire for a splice - I'm out. Personally I am not comfortable cutting my factory hardness. I'd feel better installing a modified starter relay that would bypass without splicing. Yet never heard of such a thing. I really like the concept though.

This actually looks like a nice system. Wonder how long it takes to receive from Australia???
On my Tundra the electrical shop that does all my auto wiring actually installed an on/off switch to the fuse that powered the fuel pump. Had to manually be turned on and off but works well.
I hid the switch as one of several fog light switches on the dash.

Pretty slick. I do think it would be better to just switch the starter relay or fuel pump ones self if for any reason someone else may need to drive your vehicle. They (and however many other people) would have to know to hit the magic button each time. Ive only had someone else drive the FJ maybe 3 times in the past 12 years - one SO, and two hotel valets.
Actually that might be perfect - "Sir your car wont start"....."OK, Ill go get it" lol

I installed one a few months back, didn’t take long to ship from Australia 1 week. I love it! The 3 reason I bought it were, self activating, hooks to starter not fuel pump and you could use up to three buttons.
I ended up using 2 buttons, the quick press and the hold while starting button. I live in California and have to drive to San Francisco every two weeks along with vegas and Los Angeles, so high crime areas. Im actually more worried about a car jacking than someone stealing it while I’m somewhere else. Figure if I can turn the FJ off as I’m getting car jacked I could run away while the idiot is trying to start it. Highly recommend and can help anyone who needs it to find the starter wire spot to hook in.

Cranking the wheel to stop in one direction and installing the CLUB LX and an additional steel cable from steering wheel then locked to seat belt buckle (available on Amazon) is not what these electronic car thief's are prepared to deal with.
And my 2013 FJ is never parked where a flat bed can be easily utilized. 23 years in San Diego. Still in my garage!
