As some of you may know I have been seperated from my FJ after about two weeks of ownership while I am away at school because it doesn't fit in any of the parking garages on campus and there isn't any street parking. The fact that I am without a vehicle isn't really a big deal but the fact that I am without my FJ is a HUGE deal!!!
Anyways, a couple weekends ago my Dad phoned me up and asked if he could take my FJ out to the mountains for a hike. It had been a few weeks since the FJ had been driven so I figured it wouldn't hurt to get the fluids circulated and besides, I dunno how many times my Dad has let me drive his cars in the past. As it turns out he really liked the FJ, he said it was awesome on the highway and that all his hiking buddies liked it too.
Cool, so my Dad likes my truck. I was talking to my Mom today and she mentioned that Dad took my FJ to work. Now normally this wouldn't be weird but the man drives a BMW. He chose my FJ over his Bimmer! My Mom said that it was snowy and the weather wasn't great, but he's got winter wheels and tires pn his car and he has always said his little Bimmer does really well in the snow. I think the weather was just a good excuse to drive the FJ.
Here's the kicker, by the time I am able to drive my truck again my Dad will probably have driven it more than I have!! Like I said, in the past he has always let me drive his cars so I can't realistically ask him not to drive it but it's just not fair that he gets to drive my brand new truck when I can't!!
I dunno what I'm looking for here, I guess its just a rant. I'll be headed home on the 17th for Reading Week so I will get some quality time with the FJ. I recieved my TRD intake today which I will be putting on and hopefully Ill be able to head to the mountains while I am home... I can't wait!!
