Ever try out a bug/stone deflector? As I was saying above, it seemed to do the trick with a xb I had. I was breaking a windshield once a year and once I put one of them on, the window breaks stopped. Never just a chip in the windshield with that thing - as soon as a stone hit it, glass would break all the way across.

I have not, if someone has data that shows it works on an FJ I would be willing to give it a try
