looks similar to the old campmate kitchen. Currently I just use a big action packer and always dreamed about something like this but the price steers me away. Kind of disappointed it doesnt come with the plates, bowls, etc., for a little bit more you can get a campmate kitchen which sometimes (can only get used since they dont make them anymore) has all that stuff and is a little bigger with the side wings.

Wish I could chime in on this but I never saw one before. My camp cooking setup consists of a Jetboil stove, Mountain House freeze dried foods, fish & animals I kill in the wild that I cook over the coals of a campfire.

Simple, easy, light weight equipment that takes up virtually no space.

I checked out that review before purchase but it was all I could find online and it was from 2012 I think. I'm not sure if this is just an overpriced product or if it is in such limited availability that no one has any real experience with it. I'll know soon enough. It's supposed to arrive on Thursday so I should be able to post some pictures over he weekend.

Yes, I'm sure the product is exactly the same, my meaning was that there has been no other content written about this item since, at least none that I can find. I was hoping that I might find more than one individual's experience with it to get a broader sense. I will have to make sure that I put something out there for the next guy who is wondering the same thing.

So I received the camp kitchen and so far I am pleased with it. I still think it's too expensive for what it is but I knew that going in. I added some cargo tracks to the top of my tool drawer and some FR Stratchits to secure it. A word of warning, this item does make contact with both my Springtail rear shelf and cargo barrier. It renders the rear shelf useless for anything other than the shelf aspect. If that is some thing that bothers you then I would recommend something else. I am already making contact with my fridge so no worries on my end and I am even considering removing it since it rarely gets used.

I'm not an FJ guy, but I will contribute to the camp kitchen post-- I have one and love it. fits in the back of the ZR2 Blazer with ease and holds a lot. I spent a bit of time finding items that fit properly in the cabinet to maximize the useable space. I've attached a pic with some interior dimensions--load it to your phone and you can reference the dimensions for finding tupperware, plates, etc to fit.

I've got a full set of pans, cutting board, utensils, hot pads, cutlery, plates/bowls, etc in it. not to mention the stove and a griddle on top.

Kids and I just got back from a 7 day trip in the mountains, so I thought I'd give an update. Before the trip we removed the shelf and small tray--they just wasted space. There is actually a ton of stuff crammed in the box; total weight is 60 pounds... We like to cook and eat well. finding the right stuff pays off with space considerations. The baking tupperware holds all the utensils in one spot and together. Pans all nest inside each other and have no handles--I have a potgrabber handle that clamps onto the rims. baking tins, pot holders, and big cutting board nest up around the stove to keep it from bouncing around (lots of space to fill). I also toss my lighter, propane adapters, matches, and a wrench in the silverware tray. Wrench fits propane fittings.

Thanks for the great review and very nice job maximizing the space. I have used mine once so far and i am very pleased. It holds everything I need it to and served its purpose well.
