I'm loving the dedicated Gun Lock feed.
Yep, I got every accessory literally on its own circuit. With all those daisy-chained Add-A-Circuits that had, I was afraid my shotgun was going to jump right out of its rack every time I turned on the XM radio. :worried:

Nice write up. I have the same block on the shelf for my soon to be added accessories

I looked at my local West Marine and found the same block on ebay. Since time wsn't an issue I went the ebay route.

I like the fact that you triggered your block througha relay. Will be looking at these when I hit the parts store.

the Hella lights i have already have relays. Do I need them? If so how are they wired into all this?
Yes, I would still use the supplied relays. Create a separately fused connection between your battery and the lights via the relay(s), and run your interior on/off trigger switch's power from the switched fuse block.

Under the hood:
Battery > fuse > relay > Hella lights. (Amperage of the light fuse depends on lights' wattage.)

Inside the FJ:
Fuse block > 2A fuse > panel-mounted switch > relay.

With this connection, the Hella's can't be accidentally left on if the engine is turned off.

So is there a cleaner way to have the battery power to 4 different relays (different sets of lights) cleaner? I'm not wanting 4 wires coming off the positive battery post. They probably make a relay block :) Hey did a search and found Hellas 4 block Relay holder part #HL62943 :) Relay_Block_Pictures

That relay block would be perfect for a multi-relay system that you're talking about. :bigthumb:
 
Would it be possible to have the fuse box set-up
10 switched
2 hot.??

Certainly. :bigthumb:

The main buss strip that runs down the center of the 12 contact points can be cut in any location you like, giving you whatever combination you want (i.e., 6 switched/6 hot, 8 switched/4 hit, 10 switched/2 hot, etc.).

Simply split up the two groups that I illustrated going to two different primary contact posts, and connect one post to an Add-A-Circuit activated relay (for "switched" components), and the other directly to the battery via a circuit breaker or a heavy-duty fuse (for "hot" components).

What you'll end up with, is a hybrid version of my set-up and Shadow Warrior's . . . . which could be the perfect combination. :)

I went to Crappy Tire today and to Princess Auto and the only had the larger fuses. I will try Wal Mart tomorrow and if all else fails I'll order from them.
