Hi all,
My '07 FJ has a cat delete and fully-aftermarket exhaust (came with car when I bought it, 2nd owner).
Everything worked great for over a year until I went off-roading and really banged up the underbody, and damaged the O2 sim (URD Rear O2 Simulator, 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 Dual Channel). Started throwing O2 sensor codes, which didn't go away after swapping our the sensors. Mechanic figured we'd take off the sim and see if the codes changed, and sure enough, P0420 and P0430 alone (and the sim was in pretty bad shape, too).
Unfortunately, URD doesn't make/sell this sim anymore, and I can't find it anywhere, so now I'm stuck trying to find an alternative. My options as far as I see it (feedback much appreciated):

- Tried the simple spacer workaround, didn't work.
- Magnum tuning makes similar, but requires cutting OEM wiring (NOT plug and play) - spooky. It's also not waterproof.
- Frankenstein the URD plug/wiring with the Magnum sim to make the latter plug and play (will this work?). Add in a waterproof electronics box as a bonus to protect the new sim.
- Aftermarket ECM and tune it to stop throwing codes ($$).
- Aftermarket cat ($$$).
- Undo all aftermarket exhaust and go back to OEM ($$$$ and lose power/tuck).
- Leave it and accept the efficiency loss ($$).
