The person selling it on ebay said they can change the color of the screen.. How do you do it?

If you have an FJ, read the owner's manual.
If you haven't an Fj, does it matter?

 

It's in the manual... but if I recall it's something like this...


turn off the power of the radio.... hold "Text" until the screen says "text mode"

Then turn the stereo back on and when you turn the right knob the colors will change -- click the knob in to set the color... hold it in to set the color for all functions.

You are correct! It's on page 159!

 

neat little feature,just turned mine red.

 

HA! It works! I hated the orange since I got the truck.

 

lots of colors but the orange looks normal

I've got the one with the XM Radio in my new 2012 FJ.

Hitting the text button doesn't do a thing. There's nothing in my 540 page manual that address' it nor my annoying as hell passenger seatbelt alarm.

Who knows? Maybe Tangerine Orange is the OEM default now for the 2012 model.

Unless someone knows? Anyone?

It doesn't work with the 2012 model.

 

Yeah...guess I'll have to live with it for now.

 

It's a no go for 2011 as well.
