Anyone out there know how to remove the INSIDE door handles (want to black them out).

I've found the threads detailing removal of the door panel, etc… But haven't come across anything showing removing the interior door handle.

-Take the door panels off

-On the back side you will see the 2 screws that hold the handle/lock assembly in. Unscrew and take out handle/lock assembly

-To take the handle out of the assembly, place a small screw driver underneath the spring, and pop out upwards. yes, it will fly out, so cover with a rag, or hold it upside down.

-Take out the lock assemble by squeezing the tabs underneath together, you will see the "channel", that's how it slips back in.

-Take the handle out by slightly pushing upwards, towards the area where the lock mechanism was, to clear the "knob" it sits on.

Assembly is the reverse.

To put the spring back in, just line up the two ends, and press in. You will get some grease on ya...

Good luck
