3 inch toytech lift with ome shocks, ARB front bumper
Warn 8000 winch, Had to fabricate cover plates for
under the ARB to cover the washer tank and the other
side, thank's to 4 wheel parts for not telling me that
this bumper isn't for a 2010, installed factory roof rack,
vent shields, rock rails, rear locker, Atrac, upgrade 2,
moto metal 17" wheels, Yokohama A/T 285's. You oughta see
the wife climb in and out of the driver seat in this beast with
a little skirt and pumps, funny as hell!

pics? hahaa.

So how is the fitment of the ARB to the 2010 minus the "stone tray"? (what ARB calls it, cause it sure won't protect from rocks, haha)

Like i have said before...I LOVE the green....Toyota hit a homerun with this color....and you guys pairing the color with the black rims....very nice.

Great work!

Love It! Do you have pictures of rock plates and want to share how you fabbed them?

#15 ·
Oh, i am assuming 4wheel parts didn't do this but did you move the ac line???

Thank's guys. Well, As far as the shields I fabbed, I don't have any real close pictures of them but if you zoom in on a front shot you'll be able to see them. Basically it took me a couple of times to get it right, I tried using my shrinker stretcher but the lips were too big so I formed them around a pole and bent the edges backwards and then welded a seperate lip to the bottom to bolt on. I drilled two holes for them on the arb support, used an existing hole on the plastic fender lip plus drilled another a little below that. I used the two existing holes on the factory plastic that had been connected to the original bumper cover. I didn't trim any of the plastic from the original setup because I had wanted to incorporate that to the new shields. All in all the shields are connected with 6 bolts then I bedlinered them. I only slightly bent the AC line out of the way, I hope it's enough, I did put some foam around it that is usually used for copper tubing. I also had to weld on some longer tabs for the stone tray as they call it because the 2010 setup is different, so instead of tucking under the factory skid plate, I now bolt it over the factory skid plate. As I re read this story I just typed I noticed that that part about the shrinker stretcher and lips being too big sounds perverted.

I also have the green 2010 FJ. I placed the order for an ARB bumper at my local shop and they called me the next day saying that the windshield fluid bottle would show and it probably wasn't a good match. So I investigated the other bumpers out there, and it seems like most of them would have the same problem. There are some that would work, but they make the FJ look like a tank! So, I opted for the Lucrum bumper, which isn't really a bumper, but it keeps the integrity of the FJ and hides the winch. You did a fantastic job of fabricating the parts to hide the bottle!!!

could you guys not get an 2009 or older washer tank and just put it were the old ones are? Could be an easy fix havent had time to look at the new ones yet .

The FJ looks great!

I have to admit the first time a saw green I turned green.

Yours with the black rims, arb etc looks awsome, some how all the silver bits and green just do not seem to go together IMO.

 Thank's. You know, I didn't even give that a thought about the 2009 washer bottle that might be a better solution. I think you're right about most aftermarket bumpers not covering that bottle. If you can do a little fabricating yourself or know someone that can help you out you can make it work. I used 16 guage metal and just did some bending and forming, it's not that extensive. Believe me, if a knuckle head like myself can do it, I'm sure alot of other guys can do it  I wish I knew the reason Toyota switched the location.

I don't think it is as simple as replacing the 2010 bottle with a 2009 one. For the 2010 they have installed a secondary battery shelf which would interfere with the install.

That is a fine A$$ shot! The Black rims are the way to go!

Have been off road with those Geolanders yet?
