What about Slaughterhouse Gulch in Park County? I bet it's on the dryer side right now, but not 100% positive. That could be a better bet for snow free wheeling. Good chance Miller Rock will have snow and anything else along the Peak to Peak hwy. Lefthand could be a good choice, I don't know current conditions but Madman was just up there in the last week, maybe he could give us some beta on the current conditions. One thing about Slaughterhouse is it would be a good run for the guys that are concerned about ground clearance, every tech section has an out (and around).
Actually was just up on Lefthand yesterday.....I didn't take 286/286E all the way up to Castle Gulch, but I'm pretty sure I could have comfortably. Rob being you have the fancy shmancy Trail Teams edition, and I'm running the stock weinee suspension, I don't think you'll have ANY troubles. Its tight in spots, but not too bad. I will give everyone a heads up, a pretty good portion of the trails North/ Northwest of #286 are closed off because of the Wild Fires. I've never done Castle Gulch, but starting at the entrance off Lefthand Canyon, taking any combination of the #286/E/D/C/etc trails up to it, and following Castle Gulch out might be fun. There was minor snow and a few puddles where I went, but just made for nice conditions to get 'er dirty!!

Let me know! I ought to be around on the 16th, and am totally down! :rocker:

Have you decided where yet or at least narrowed it down? After tax day no less, how appropriate. Looking forward to it and I'll try to make it as well.
Probably left hand/west magnolia on the 16th or 17th. and yea back to nj...at least i've got tryouts for a junior hockey team in philly so maybe i'll be back in nj in another year

I will try to make it out but it will depend on my money situation and my new job. I kind of got my a$$ kicked on Chinaman Gulch Loop this last weekend so I need a trail to redeem myself.

The 17th works for my girls, they'd love it. The 16th they've got programs in the morning and we'd be a bit late.

I have to work on Sun so if thats when you are gonna go I could'nt make it, Sat on the other hand I am open. Dont want to make things difficult so if Sun is better for everyone than have fun and I will catch the next one. If you can make Sat work though I would love to come.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, West Magnolia is still listed as CLOSED on the Nat. Frst. site (LINK).

So, unless anyone interested in this run will skip it on account of us doing Lefthand (in which case, we should pick something else that would be better for everyone), then I say let's do it.

Since Sunday is the only day when someone said they for sure can't make it, maybe we should just land on Sat.

Doh!
I had two things coming up on that weekend (this trail run, and a possibly once-in-a-lifetime kind of opportunity), and after what I said in this thread yesterday, I went and locked in on Sunday for the other one (and as it turned out, the other thing will only be happening on Sunday anyway).

So, sorry, bud. I'm out.

If anyone still wants to do something on Saturday (the 16th) that can't go on Sunday, let me know.

soooo update on the three of us the one kid we wanted to pass cant go but tom and I are able to go pending if we get free rockies tickets
I could have gone to a Rockies game for free with work (August something I think), but I wasn't interested. So, I passed on it. I'm pretty sure they're all sitting together too....otherwise, I would have gotten the ticket/s and given them away to somebody here....it's just not that kind of thing.

SAT. the 16th lefthand....
Hopefully I didn't mess anything up, but
