12.3” headunit works great! Problems with subwoofer and backup camera.

Hey all,
I have a 2010 that I bought brand new and plan to never sell. I recently installed the 12.3 in android auto head unit. I don’t know much about car stuff or wiring but with enough YouTube could get away with doing most things. The install on the head unit was relatively painless and it honestly looks great. Wireless apple CarPlay works well, I think it’s super slick, but I’m having a few issues.

One, my subwoofer isn’t working. I have the 2010 OEM subwoofer. I found another thread where a guy said he had the same problem but resolved it by moving a pin over. What the heck does that mean? What pin! Ha there are tons of pins back here!
One of the plugs from my car has like 7 wires going into it and connects to a harness that only has three wires coming out. There’s another harness that I circled in yellow that’s coming from the headunit but doesn’t seemingly plug into anything. Should I try to move some of these pins over?

The biggest issue with this headunit if you’re going to do a self install is the lack of support. I bought it on Ali express and have been messaging them but they keep saying they spoke to their “engineer” who said I need to buy the canbus adapter, but I don’t think that’s right as I don’t have the JBL subwoofer. And it comes with absolutely no directions or wiring diagrams.

My other problem is setting up my back up camera. I followed the directions on another post I found on here about tapping into your stock back up feed, which I’ve successfully done but haven’t figured out how to make it take over the screen when I put the car into reverse. I think this is the plug that I should plug into? I’m not really sure to be honest.

I’ve tried looking through the posts for more info but haven’t been able to figure it out. I feel like I kind of need things explained to me like I’m a five year old when it comes to wiring.
But any help would be appreciated. And happy to answer any questions about the headunit.

Just something to check

The problem others had was the vendor wiring harness had the power for the subwoofer in the wrong spot and needed to be moved.

Looking at the connection with the Chinese label.
The factory wire pink with blue stripe is for the subwoofer.
Kind of looks like the vendor wires might have some sort of writing on them for identification.

Hopefully you can ID the vendor wire that goes to the factory pink/blue wire.

I LOVE my 12.3 head units...
I HATE the lack of support when installing/managing my 12.3" head units!
"Blue wire" swap here post #453
They send these units w/ extra harnesses, my '07 uses 3 (2 w/ big pins) & my '11 (w/ JBL subwoofer, canbus system) has two OEM harnesses w/ smaller pins. I just zip-tied the extra harnesses & wires out of the way.
The B/U cam also has a "trigger wire" that sends power to activate the H/U screen in reverse,
In your first pic there is a BROWN wire labeled "BACK" that is (probably/possibly) the H/U trigger.
NOTE: There may be several wires from the H/U (usually marked "Reverse"/"REV"/"BU", etc.), that it connects to (mine is ORANGE); you may have try each one to verify which is the trigger. (I used insulated spade connectors in case I need to replace/upgrade camera)

Here's a good Reverse cam tutorial
for a lot more info:
12.3" screen Android Head unit
Android Stereo Upgrade
Also...
Don't panic if you lose your Hazards & defrost this is an easy fix, they usually send the wrong ribbon cable
(I've ordered some & can send you when they arrive if needed)
12.3" Android hazard/defrost switch FIXED (?)
Also I really like the Agama car launcher
HTH!

For those that stumble upon this with similar questions in the future. I had originally used this post to tap into the backup camera feed. OEM Back-up Camera to Head Unit Camera Input...

I then used this post to tap into the trigger wire, though could have done it all in one go if I had found it first. Factory OEM backup camera to aftermarket radio tap DIY info
And @rev. 3:11 you were right. This brown wire labeled BACK was the right one to connect the trigger wire to.

My OEM subwoofer works now too. Moved this blue wire so that’s it’s next to the orange (and importantly connects to the pink/blue strip wire coming from the car.)

AND downloaded the agama car launcher ha. Thanks everyone for the help!
