The FJ does not belong in the SUV class. I disagree with the ranking, but this site is selling cars to mom's with kids, not members of fjcruiserforums.

 

I would buy another new FJ at that price anyday, (oh wait it was done by us news)

 

Reviewing vehicles is VERY subjective. Ranking vehicles with "quantitative analysis" scoring from multiple authors (73) is foolish and unfortunately common.

It amounts to handholding for the uncertain.

 

If I hear one more group of people ***** about the blind spot the truck has I am going to raise a million dollars to pay for a booster seat and mirror adjusting classes for those winers.

 

It seems most reviewers / raters are clueless as to what the acronym "SUV" even stands for. It is evident by the number one pick that US News is clueless as here is the first statement on the number one pick:

"The 2012 Buick Enclave is a comfortable, luxurious and capable family hauler."

Not to mention they include the Ford Flex in the review and rank it with the FJ. WTF?!?

 

Im glad mine isnt a popular soccer mom type "car-truck". The FJ's hold value better than anthing else on the market because the people who own them swear by them and thats all we need. Not another article telling us the same crap with different titles...

Besides if I wanted a prius with a lift kit- there were plenty of options

 

I agree these articles are ridiculous. It's funny the FJ got 4.5 dots for reliability and the 4-runner got 3.5. They've got the same suspension & drivetrain. Maybe the 4-runner's body panels are unreliable?

At least the FJ ranked pretty high in their lame comparison. Soccer moms buying them isn't all bad. After they're done with them, we'll have good lightly used trail rigs available.

 

IMO reliability and safety are the important factors here and the FJ ranks the best out of those 2.
