Anyone know where I can find a fix for a broken CV boot clamp? The smaller part of the boot is leaking a good amount of grease. Any suggestions? Can i go to autozone/pep boys or do I have to go to Toyota?

An eBay seller sells improved cv clamps that diminish boot leaks on lifted FJs. Search eBay for FJ Cruiser CV Axle Repair Clamps. muzzys_wholesale

Go to a fastener shop that sells stainless steel cable ties. They come in various sizes and are very stout. The clamping portion is much thinner than a hose clamp. Get the installation tool. It looks like a screwdriver with no tip and a slot in the end. Just tighten and trim the excess. They aren't removable though. You have to cut them off.

The best worm gears are SILICONE EMBOSSED HOSE CLAMP NORMA TORRO- they are stainless steal and have rounded edges so no matter how hard you clamp- youll never cut into the CV boot and damage it. Thats what I use.

Sold on Ebay.

Larger- 90-110MM
Smaller- 25-40MM

Well it turns out the clamp was busted and the boot had ripped so my problem is no longer a $2 fix haha, but thanks anyway for all the help, I'll probably switch to those clamps once my rig gets out of the shop.

If they place the actual Toyota clamps- Id leave them- They should last a long time. Mine were replaced with the wrong ones (not Toyota ) and they looseded up which caused mud to get into the CV and killed it. Expensive loss
