Try $144.15. The free shipping thing does not work. They add 17 bucks and some change to the order! I hope they adjust the charges to really be free shipping. Good deal if it works out. I have several really old cans I need to replace and these look like the ticket. Tough to get anything like this in PA because of the CARB restrictions unless you buy used banged up items like some suplus places here sell.

Follow up: ordered the four Jerry cans and it WAS only $127 bucks. Spent 10 bucks on some rattle cans and now they are all red. The spout is the excellent stainless steel job not the crappy chinese ones that rust and leak.

They subtract the 17 bucks when the order is processed. I got an email invoice saying the cost is actually $127 bucks. Pretty fair, I've seen some advertised for almost $50 bucks each, of course they're nice shiny red ones!

That looks like a good deal but I don't need 4. Maybe I can find someone local to split it with.....hmmmmmm

James, Wedco uses the same design...These are EU military cans. Mine are the same, just red. They have a perfect seal and don't expand into marshmallows. ... These have a yellow painted spout, making me believe that they are for Diesel. I would confirm with them first if they can be used for regular gasoline, since they may have a different liner and gasket seal in them.

Per their site description:
These are Brand-Spanking-New Bundeswehr issue 20L gasoline/diesel fuel cans.
Seems like a really good deal on these.
Just because it says gasoline, doesn't mean someone didn't make a typo...I'd still ask, because the international standards for colors on cans is
Red: Gasoline
Yellow: Diesel
Blue: Water

These cans are marked with yellow!

And I know most cans have a different gasket for diesel, then they do for gasoline. It doesn't cost anything to confirm.

I misread it. I thought it said Budweiser 20 liter gas cans.

I was thinking that sounded pretty cool.

I guess these are okay too.

I just one of these (except all red) at Murdoch's (farm & ranch store) for $34 on Monday.

I also bought the same thing from GarrettWade a few months ago and it was $50!

The nozzle I got from GW was expensive ($19) but it's well made and is fits into the FJ's unleaded fuel filler

Well, I called the company and the nice lady that answered the phone said, and I quote,

"I don't think there's a difference between gas and diesel cans. The owner would not have put it on the website if it weren't true."

Very nice lady but really didn't know what to say. Can anyone in the know confirm that a can of this type or any type can or can't be used for either diesel / gas? Is it just the gasket in the neck that would be different or is the liner in the can different?

Thanks,

OK...so I google a bit on google.de and read through the various Deutsche Bundeswehr sites and see that they also use red for gasoline and yellow for diesel. However, you can see hundreds of these advertised on ebay.de ebay.ch .. as gasoline and diesel...
I say if the price is right, give it a try...it's not like these cans are getting easier to get

Rovers north sells the same exact can for around $48.00.....wich makes these even better, i have 2 of these cans i bought them from rovers north in 1994 when i bought my defender....they were green which ment they were for diesel service....so i had them powdercoated red.....they have held up from the trail use and still dont leak.....i checked into the spout that Deutsche is offering with the can deal and i was told it was for unleaded service....which means it has the small tube for unleaded fill

Thanks for the update. I sent an email to the owner of the company for this deal and am waiting his response on the diesel / gasoline question. We'll see what he says.

In my experience, these cans can hold virtually any non-corrosive liquid. The only difference is the outside color. Standards are used (blue for water, red for gasoline, yellow for diesel) so that folks don't pour water into their fuel tank or pour gasoline into their watering cans. It's that simple.

FYI for those wanting two of these. I called and talked with the company and they were willing to split the shipping to two different locations at no extra charge. I ordered one extra nozzle and now my buddy and I will each have two cans and one nozzle. The only kicker was that the nozzles were on backorder for a week and they are holding the cans to ship when the nozzles arrive. Now that I think about it... I need to check on that order, it's been about a week.

So, if you only want two... find a buddy and be nice when you call the company.

Cheers
