Oh the decisions! I can't decide either. So I had dconstruck photochop them on to my FJ for me to help. It didn't help. I still can't decide. Post a pic of your FJ and maybe some one will chop it for you to help the process.

 

Doesn't help much here because you have a Sun Fusion, but for example:

I prefer the black bezel. It looks meaner that way.

 

White is cool, but black is always the safer choice.

 

White bezel looks great on VB, BC, and BD, but looks strange on a SF. Black is the way to go. IMHO

 

I think white bezel makes for a nice contrast to the dark colors (Black and Black Cherry). But to me, the black bezel looks best on the VooDoo's Titanium's and Sun Fusion's.

 

I did not see option for hot pink!!!!

I think black looks pretty excellent with the sun fusion:

 

Ditto. Black looks a lot better than I had imagined it. Good to see it in a picture. Flat black blends very nicely with the black rims and tires...very nice. I may have to do the same to my Sandstorm.

By the way MudLovinFJ, if you were to paint it, would you do it yourself or have a pro shop do it? Curious as to whether off the shelf plastic paint could do the job?

 

White's not too shabby, either, but I'd stick with the black:

 

Stock...remember....contrast.
Unless you aren't painting your center pieces and wings...then go black.

 

I went with white. It goes great with the white roof and pays tribute to the FJ40.

 

Uh oh, i just made the votes a tie...... :silly: I like black. I was kind of torn though because the old FJ white is pretty cool......

I think a White bezel will look better if that is all thats getting painted.

But if you do paint it all like Dragon then black.

Have you considered RED to match MRSMUDLOVINGFJ's hair? (and my skids)

I think that a Red and Yellow FJ would be very distinctive and UNIQUE. However, I voted for black. White is ok if you keep the bumper stock but you'll go to an after market bumper eventually and white wouldn't look as good.

 

White or Black are both cool. The white is old school and goes with your top. The black is sharp looking too like Dragons. Good luck with your choice

im still on the fence, but i was thinking i would try white and if i didnt like it i can easily go black.


ans someone asked if i was gonna spray it or have someone do it for me. I think since im still not sure as to what color i will stick with im going to do it myself to be able to change it easily. that way i wont be throwing a $100 away if i change it.

i have spray painted a lot in my life, and i spray painted the grille on my 2006 g35 coupe a while ago and it turned out excellent. the bezel on the fj is nice and flat so it souldnt be too hard at all.

what paint are you going to use dominic? and what are you going to do to prep the plastic? be sure to use some adhesion promoter too

 

really i don't know yet, i was just going to stop by walmart this afternoon, pick up some sand paper and paint, and spray!

 

IMHO the white bezel works with the white roof, giving a retro look, silver is just kind of there and black, while it does look mean, just blends in with the flares and bumpers. I'm hoping to get my Sun Fusion 2008 in a week so I'm personally interested in your choice. Good luck in deciding.
