Hello,

Is anybody running the General Grabber red letter tires on a stock 2010 truck? What size are you running and any problems? I plan on leveling the front with spacers when I change tires. Also any input on performance in rain?

Thanks.

I can't wait to see that combo on your buddies truck Joeisip811...As far as the tire is concerned they are aggresively advertising and running these on many of the dessert Baja trucks...seem to have good reviews I may have read in Petersons 4Wheel & Offroad mags. Nice looking tread design and I seem to like the red lettering.

Yes they do! BFG KM2's 355 60 20 or 37"12.50 20 Nitto has the new Trail grappler in a 37" too :rocker:

I just found the article on the General Grabbers in; Off-Road magazine Dec,2010,Vol 44 No.12 page 84.

My buddy Joe just did a detailed write up on these tires in the new addition of "8 Lug" magazine! This guy gets all kinds of stuff for free so that he can do write ups. He told me that the General Grabbers are a fantastic tire and that they held up great and performed well in all of the torture testing that he put them through.. Being that this guy gets so much stuff for free to try out, compliments don't come easy and he was full of praise in reguards to these tires..
He said that the only MT's that he likes better are the Toyo Open Country MT's, but that the lugs on the Grabbers actually seemed to be a little bit harder and that he could not get them to chuck on the rocks no matter what.

Totally got jacked! Thank you for the info - this correlates well with the bits and pieces I picked up on the web. Seems like an amazing tire.

Post those pics when the tires are on please.

Still not sure they have a size to fit 17s with stock suspension. Would a 33x12.50x17 rub?

Always wondered how those would look. The only reason Im reluctant to get those is the weight per tire. The 315/75R16's I want are almost 80lbs!

They do look killer and I liked them since I have a SAW lift. Red lift and red lettering on the tires would be a sweet combo (dare I saw Ultimate Combo... man I miss that stupid game:lol: )

Sorry OP- Carry on with the investigation:lol:

Here is some pics of mine. They are great so far. Had them off road where the cleared some trees off and the area was really rutted and slightly muddy. They worked well. They are way better than the BFG AT's it came with. Even quieter than the AT's on the road. Hopefully get to wheel them hard soon.

Man, those look awesome! Thanks for the photos. I was sold 2 months ago but you just sealed the deal. If they rub without a lift, hello chop or goodbye roofrack!

He was supposed to go out wheeling with us today but, he didn't show up due to Family emergency.. I drove his FJ and i like the handling on the highway..
I think there's a member here already posted his review on these tires.. gotta search for it.. heard they're not so great on rocks..

Thats a great look Joe! I was thinking the same thing myself wondering about those red Generals.
Do you think these will stay red for awhile or do you think they'll turn pinkish?
   Imagine if that happens :eek:utofcloset:

I hope not :thinkerg:
