Some FJ owners shouldn't be FJ owners!

Today, I went to our local gas station to fill up. As I drove in I saw a Sun Fusion FJ at the far end also filling up, so I drove over beside her. When I got out of mine I gave her a wave and said hello. She just looked at me and asked if she knew me. I said that I was saying hello because we had the same vehicle.
With a look of disdain she look at my Tank and then at me and said "No, we don't!"
I mean seriously??????WTF????
I took a deep breath, counted to 10 and then said "my mistake", when I really wanted to slap the a$$ off her and remove her keys!!!! :flame::flame::flame:

You should of smirked at her and said with a onceover glance at her car,"Yeah....You're right. You must be headed to the mall."

And someone called me a snob for not waving to every FJ. This is the reason.

To some they are "dependable vehicles that hold value but suck down gasoline". That person most likely didn't like to pay at the pump, so they are miserable and will never understand why there are such great rigs. Oh well. at least there is a chance the 2nd owner will use it...

Well...

In our circles, the majority of the posts here tend to look down on the FJs that jump the dunes while bashing them over the rocks is... Perfectly okay!

Then, there're the terms "Poser," "Mall Crawler," or "Soccer Mom" and the like. Perfectly okay.

Not having a fellow FJ Cruiser driver see things the way we do...

...should likewise be Perfectly okay.

By the same token, I agree... People do SUCK.

And yes, she was definitely snooty - won't disagree with that!

I here ya!:lol::rocker:
it`s very strange here, Some of the better quality lifted jeeps with good appearances do wave at us, I figure they are true enthusiasts of any 4x4.
we have several stock FJ`s now that pass thru town and they are clueless. we waved to one silver FJ that passed us to get in the left turn lane and when we caught up and passed by they were at least in their 70`s, and did not waved back, but looked horrified.
The other crap built jeeps that look like chicken wire and duct tape was used, with tons of diamond plate steel and surface mounted screws holding them together look down and dismiss the FJ. and there are many of theses junkers here...
we get an occasional lifted FJ that gets it and does wave or flash the lights.
we wave, if they don`t oh well...
we`ve had a lot of other people come up to the truck at service stations or the grocery store and ask about it...
it is what it is...

remember tho NJ is the attitude capital so I hear, and people do suck here...

I'm not the friendliest person out there. Not because I'm annoyed or what not, just because I'm a bit reserved and aloof. However, I always try to be as friendly as I can to fellow FJers. I still get excited when I see built up Tacos, Land Cruisers and FJs.

Wow.....that's sad. But what's even more sad is that too many FJ owners are like that. I put a card with my local clubs info on it right in the drivers size window. I came out of the store only to find the card on the ground and the FJ gone.

I might give a wave to a modded FJ... if I ever see one.

Every FJ I see around here is stock. I don't see alot of FJ's in general... but the ones I do, don't even have a brush guard or rock rails. Stock wheels, tires, everything.

That's why I mod so much to compensate. Someone has to show these Wrangler people what's up.

It was just her attitude that got me! She could have said, oh yeah so we do to my face, and then called me a crazy b-itch later I wouldn't have cared! Oh we'll we live and learn! But I am proud that I stayed polite and didn't pound her into the ground (verbally or physically)!
